Chestnut St. (from Beacon St. to Comm. Ave.) is scheduled to be repaved in the summer of 2021. Now is a good time to list roadway safety issues and advocate for a safer Chestnut St. Please come give your input to your Ward 5 City Councilors and city staff. Bring your observations on speeding, missing sidewalks, desired crosswalks, and any other issues related to Chestnut St. In attendance will be:
- Ward 5 At-Large Councilor Andreae Downs
- Ward 5 At-Large Councilor Deb Crossley
- Ward 5 Councilor John Rice
- Newton Director of Transportation Nicole Freedman
